The Adult Education Budget (AEB) aims to engage with adults (aged 19 and over), who are residents of Liverpool City Region, to provide the skills and teaching they need for work, apprenticeships or other learning. Through the Digital Skills Entitlement, adults who lack digital skills can obtain free qualifications to address skill shortages.
Skills Bootcamps for the Workplace provide flexible hands-on courses of up to 16 weeks in duration. They are part of the UK Government’s Plan For Jobs and Lifetime Skills Guarantee. Through the Bootcamps, Liverpool City Region residents and employers are eligible for a range of digital courses.
Through Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram’s flagship Be More programme, Liverpool City Region employers can access fully funded digital training for their staff via the Priority Training Support Fund. There are a selection of shorter IT courses that eligible employers can register for.
